The other books
This book builds on The ikigai Book, which teaches resources, spaces, capabilities and golden threads from the first endpoint up, and on its chapters on dynamic spaces in particular, which are the mechanism the overlay chain here is built from.
The worked resource throughout — the ledger item — is the subject of The gonk Book,
the work ledger and review host built from those same pieces; the kernel this book’s cells run
against is that ledger, compiled to WebAssembly. Building ikigai UIs takes the
“a view is a resource” idea this book leans on and builds a real inspector with it.
Running ikigai is the operator’s side: the ikigai binary that serves
the door and the capabilities this book describes, and how to run it for real.
The library lists all five, with who each is for, what to read first and where to start.
The books are built, tested and published together, from one repository: https://github.com/ikigai-rs/ikigai-tutorial.
